We are pleased to once again offer Dual Immersion classes to rising kindergarten students who live in the WM Irvin Elementary School district. This is our third year providing this opportunity for our students.
Students participating in the program will be taught the same North Carolina state standards as students in traditional classes. Those who are in the Dual Immersion program will receive instruction in both Spanish and English, allowing them to learn a second language while simultaneously learning grade-level curriculum. The higher-order thinking processes involved in learning through two languages enhances students' proficiency at learning new skills which have life-long benefits.
If you are interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity, please access the materials and information on this site.
