Our teachers will be learning, growing, and collaborating during a Professional Development Day as they continue building their instructional toolkit with new strategies to support student learning.

September 1–September 23: Avanza/Level Learning BOY

It’s time to connect, reflect, and plan for your child’s success! 1st Quarter Parent-Teacher Conferences will be scheduled between September 21 and October 23.

Parents, please watch for a ParentSquare message from your child’s teacher with information on how to sign up for a conference.

During conferences, teachers will share Beginning-of-Year (BOY) assessment data, discuss your child’s progress and learning, and share next steps for continued growth. This is a wonderful opportunity to partner with your child’s teacher, ask questions, celebrate successes, and work together to support your Eagle’s learning journey.

Dear Families,

Next week, our school will focus on the character strength of Perspective. This means understanding and appreciating different points of view. Perspective, often seen as wisdom, goes beyond intelligence. People with this strength are valued for their advice because they see the big picture and understand complex issues.

Those with perspective can get to the heart of difficult matters and bring clarity. They are honest, ethical, and good at seeing what truly matters. This helps them stay calm and learn from mistakes. By reflecting on their own feelings and thoughts, they can empathize with others and offer strong listening and questioning skills. They help their groups navigate challenges and find opportunities for success.

To practice and encourage the character strength of perspective at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the dental clinic last week and to everyone who came out to the PTO meeting! If you missed the meeting here are the meeting notes to check out. Let us know if you have any questions! 

We are in the final week of the Fun Run Fundraiser! Students and staff enjoyed popsicles at lunch on Thursday last week, for hitting the first goal of $5,000!! We also will be having an PJ day on Monday 9/28 for hitting our second goal of $10,000. Next up Dr Wells will play bean boozled on the morning announcements when we reach $15,000! 

All donations must be turned in by Friday 9/25 at midnight to guarantee your students prizes will be delivered on the day of the Fun Run 10/3. Any donations received after will still be credited to your student but their prizes will be delayed. We are still looking for volunteers for the day of the fun run. Join us on Tuesday 9/22 at the Chick-a- Fila on Dale Earnhardt blvd 4-7pm for a spirit night. PTO will receive a portion of the sales! They have added a special classroom challenge: the classroom with the most students showing up for Spirit Night will win FREE Chick-fil-A Chocolate Chunk Cookies! 🍪🐮 Must dine in to scan QR code to enter.
